Dr Stephanie Morstead is a passionate Osteopath dedicated to helping people overcome pain, improve movement and achieve their health goals. Since commencing clinical practice in 2022, Steph has built a reputation for providing compassionate, personalised care that combines hands-on treatment with practical strategies to support long-term recovery and wellbeing.
Steph completed her Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy) and Master of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University. She has also undertaken extensive additional training in dry needling, advanced dry needling, electrotherapy, and cupping, allowing her to tailor treatment approaches to suit each individual's needs and preferences.
Her journey into allied health began through personal experience. At just 13 years old, Steph was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), introducing her to the world of healthcare and rehabilitation. The support she received during this time inspired her desire to help others navigate their own health challenges. Combined with a lifelong involvement in sport, including representative basketball, Steph developed a strong appreciation for the role allied health practitioners play in helping people recover from injury, improve performance, and return to the activities they love.
Steph has a particular interest in treating headaches, migraines, neck pain, shoulder injuries, TMJ dysfunction, and upper back conditions. Having experienced shoulder injuries herself, including rotator cuff and bursitis-related issues, she brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to these presentations. She also enjoys working with active individuals and athletes, particularly those involved in basketball and other sporting pursuits.
Her treatment style is direct, results-focused, and holistic. Rather than focusing solely on the area of pain, Steph assesses how the entire body is functioning to identify contributing factors and underlying causes. She combines a range of techniques including deep soft tissue therapy, dry needling, electro-needling, cupping, joint manipulation, and gentle articulation to achieve the best possible outcomes. Treatment is often supported by tailored strengthening and mobility exercises, empowering clients with the tools and knowledge to take an active role in their recovery.
What sets Steph apart is her empathetic and individualised approach. Drawing from her own experiences with chronic illness and injury, she understands that every person's journey is different. She takes the time to listen, understand each client's lifestyle, goals, and challenges, and develops realistic treatment plans that fit into their daily lives. Her philosophy is simple: small, consistent steps create meaningful long-term change.
Steph is passionate about helping people feel heard, supported, and confident throughout their healthcare journey. She loves seeing clients achieve goals they once thought were out of reach and values the genuine connections she builds along the way.
When she's not in the clinic, you'll often find Steph on the basketball court, enjoying a good book, or watching a movie. Her love of sport, combined with her personal health journey, continues to shape the understanding, compassion, and care she brings to every patient she works with.
