Welcome to the new Rapid Recovery Newsletter. Each month we share articles and updates for our three clinic locations Healesville, Seville and Ferntree Gully.
In this issue our senior osteopath Emily explores running injuries and prevention. We welcome a new member to our Healesville remedial team, and Shae walks us through chronic pain relief.
As always, let us know if there's something you would like us to cover in future newsletters - email [email protected]
Are your running habits causing injuries?
Every year, a significant portion of recreational and competitive runners experience an injury that sidelines them for weeks, sometimes months. The frustrating truth? The majority of these injuries are not accidents. They're the result of patterns that build quietly over time, until the body simply can't absorb any more load.
Our senior osteopath Emily sees the same handful of injuries presenting repeatedly in runners. And more often than not, they share a common thread: something preventable was overlooked before the pain started.

Relief for chronic pain
Chronic pain is a beast that we have started to understand over the past few years, through pain science and our understanding becomes clearer as time goes on. In saying that, chronic pain is usually multifactorial and it's never just one thing that is influencing what we feel...
That's it for our first newsletter. We will be back next month and let us know if you would like us to cover a topic or explain a treatment - it's all part of the Rapid Recovery service!
