Stacey Ponton
Senior Myotherapist & Remedial Massage
Clinics: Ferntree Gully
Specialities: Lymphatic massage, dry needling, cupping, chronic pain, sports therapy
Stacey is an experienced Myotherapist with a lifelong passion for sport, health, and helping people feel their best. After working within the sports and allied health field - including time in administration at a physiotherapy clinic - she felt drawn to a more hands-on role and began her training in remedial massage and myotherapy. She hasn't looked back since.
With a background in Health Science, qualifications in Remedial Massage, and an Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy, Stacey combines strong clinical knowledge with a down-to-earth, approachable style. Her experience includes working with the Essendon Football Club, where she developed extensive hands-on experience managing sports-related injuries. While she loves working with runners, athletes, and active individuals, Stacey is equally passionate about helping people living with long-term or persistent pain find meaningful relief.
She has particular strength in treating neck and upper back conditions, as well as groin and adductor injuries. Her treatment style is a balance of intuitive care and results-driven focus - a reflection of her competitive nature and commitment to helping clients achieve tangible outcomes. Stacey regularly incorporates techniques such as Muscle Energy Techniques (METs) and PNF stretching, alongside practical, achievable rehabilitation strategies designed to fit into real life.
Stacey is also the Clinical Excellence Mentor at Ferntree Gully, where she supports the development of newer therapists and helps uphold a high standard of care across the team. She is passionate about continuous learning, collaboration, and ensuring every client receives thoughtful, evidence-informed treatment.
As a proud mum and step-mum to three boys, Stacey understands the realities of busy life and the importance of looking after yourself. Living with spina bifida and chronic pain herself has shaped her empathy and deepened her understanding of what her clients experience. This personal insight, combined with her clinical expertise, allows her to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward.
