Jaw pain or TMJ - why your jaw hurts (and what you can do about it)

If you've ever experienced jaw pain, you'll know how quickly it can start affecting everyday life. Eating can become uncomfortable, talking may feel tiring, and even something as simple as yawning might trigger pain or a clicking sensation.

Many people describe this as "TMJ', but what they're usually experiencing is temporomandibular disorder (TMD). TMD is the term used to describe a group of conditions affecting the jaw joints, the muscles that move the jaw, and the surrounding tissues.

But as osteopath Dr Steph Morstead explains, the good news is that jaw pain is often manageable. "Identifying what's contributing to your symptoms is the first step towards finding the most appropriate management approach."

The new section features a range of treatments and resources for all stages of life, depending on what you are feeling. So if you've been wondering "Is there a treatment that could help with this?" our new Women's Health section is a great place to start.

Because finding the right care shouldn't be complicated.

Internal Pelvic Release Therapy now available at Rapid Recovery Healesville

If you've been living with pelvic pain, discomfort during pregnancy, pain with intimacy, or ongoing lower back or hip pain that just won't settle, you may have been told "everything looks normal", yet your symptoms continue.

For many women, the missing piece may be the pelvic floor muscles.

At Rapid Recovery, Advanced Myotherapist Haydie Peattie offers Internal Pelvic Release Therapy - a gentle, evidence-informed treatment designed to help reduce pain, improve pelvic floor function and help you feel more comfortable and confident in your body...

What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage and what does it do?

If you've ever experienced swelling after surgery, felt heavy or puffy at the end of the day, or been diagnosed with lymphoedema or lipoedema, you've probably heard about Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD).

As Natalie explains this specialised treatment is a gentle, hands-on therapy designed to encourage the natural movement of lymphatic fluid throughout the body. While many people associate lymphatic massage with post surgery recovery, it can also support people experiencing fluid retention, swelling and certain chronic conditions...

Big changes at Rapid Recovery Seville

You may have noticed we've been a bit busy at our Seville Clinic, there's been some noise and dust but it's all about to be revealed - we have doubled the size of the clinic! Our brand new treatment rooms are now open for business, that means more services available more often.

We are thrilled to finally have the Seville clinic operating how we imagined when we first took over the premises a few years back. So if you haven't been in for a while, or were finding it hard to find a tie that worked, reach out.

More times, more therapists and we can't wait to welcome you back!

That's it for this edition of our monthly newsletter. We will be back next month and let us know if you would like us to cover a topic or explain a treatment - it's all part of the Rapid Recovery service!
