Remedial Massage
Clinics: Healesville & Seville
Specialities: chronic pain management, sports injuries, headache treatment and injury recovery
Kaspar Svihla is a passionate Remedial Massage Therapist who enjoys helping people move better, recover from injury, and feel more comfortable in their everyday lives. His interest in allied health began with a simple weekend massage course after originally considering careers in nursing and paramedicine. It didn't take long for him to discover that hands-on therapy was where he could make the greatest difference, leading him to complete his Diploma of Remedial Massage and continue his studies towards an Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy.
During his clinical placements, Kaspar found it incredibly rewarding to see clients return feeling the benefits of their treatment. Working alongside a variety of experienced practitioners reinforced his belief that every person responds differently and that successful treatment requires an individual approach rather than a one-size-fits-all solution.
Kaspar's treatment style is focused on identifying the underlying cause of pain rather than simply treating the symptoms. He commonly incorporates deep tissue massage techniques while tailoring each treatment to the individual. He particularly enjoys working through complex or persistent conditions, viewing each presentation as an opportunity to solve the puzzle and find the approach that works best for each client.
Kaspar has a growing interest in chronic pain management, sports injuries, headache treatment and injury recovery. As an active sports enthusiast himself, he understands the frustration that pain and injury can have on performance and everyday activities. Whether someone is recovering from a sporting injury, managing muscle tension, or simply looking to move more comfortably, Kaspar aims to help clients achieve meaningful improvements through evidence-informed, personalised care.
Building strong relationships with clients is an important part of Kaspar's approach. He believes listening is one of the most valuable clinical skills a therapist can have, taking the time to understand each person's concerns, goals and expectations. His priority is for every client to feel heard, comfortable and confident throughout their treatment, leaving each appointment feeling that their concerns have been genuinely addressed.
Committed to ongoing professional development, Kaspar is continuing his studies in Myotherapy while regularly expanding his knowledge through professional education courses. He has a particular interest in keeping up with emerging research into chronic pain and rehabilitation to continually refine his clinical skills.
Outside the clinic, Kaspar enjoys staying active through tennis, soccer, basketball, running, hiking, golf and strength training. His experience working as a gardener also gives him a practical understanding of the physical demands placed on tradespeople and those in manual occupations, helping him relate to the aches, pains and overuse injuries that can develop through physically demanding work.
Whether you're managing ongoing muscle tension, recovering from a sports injury, experiencing headaches, or looking for remedial massage to support your health and wellbeing, Kaspar is committed to helping you move with greater confidence and comfort.
