Monique Evans
Remedial Massage Therapist
Clinics: Ferntree Gully
Specialities: Sports injuries, neck, shoulder, lower back pain, tension headaches, stress related tightness
Monique is a dedicated Remedial Massage Therapist passionate about helping both everyday individuals and athletes move, perform, and feel their best. Whether it's persistent back pain, work-related tension, or recovery from sport, she brings a results-focused and personalised approach to every session.
Her journey into massage therapy began in 2017 during a soccer competition, where she was first introduced to hands-on treatment by a teammate's mum. That early experience sparked a genuine passion for remedial care and the powerful impact it can have on performance and recovery.
With a strong sporting background herself, Monique has worked with elite teams including the Western Bulldogs and Melbourne City FC. These experiences shaped her understanding of movement mechanics, high-performance demands, and effective recovery strategies. While she thrives in the sporting environment, she brings that same level of attention and care to every client - whether they're athletes, desk workers, or busy parents.
Monique has particular strength in treating neck, shoulder, and lower back pain, muscular tension, sports-related injuries, postural imbalances, and tension headaches. Her treatment style is results-driven yet calming and supportive. She focuses on identifying the root cause of discomfort rather than simply chasing symptoms, combining deep tissue techniques, trigger point therapy, and corrective-based approaches tailored to individual goals.
She is especially passionate about working with active individuals who are motivated to understand their bodies and take a proactive approach to their health. Monique believes the best outcomes come from a combination of skilled hands-on treatment and practical advice that supports recovery between sessions.
Outside the clinic, Monique's weekends are often filled with soccer. She enjoys staying active, travelling, and continues to expand her professional skills - with plans to undertake further training in dry needling. Her long-term goal is to return to working within elite sport while continuing to make a meaningful impact on people's everyday lives through remedial therapy.
