What is Remedial Massage?

Remedial Massage uses targeted, hands-on techniques to address tension, tightness, and discomfort in muscles, tendons, and connective tissues. It begins with a brief assessment to understand what you're feeling, what may be contributing, and how your body is moving.

Your therapist will then work through the affected area and any surrounding regions that may be compensating - because when one part of the body is irritated, neighbouring areas often adapt or tighten.

This broader approach is why many people choose Remedial Massage when they want hands-on treatment that helps their whole body move and feel better.

How Remedial Massage helps

Remedial Massage can:

  • reduce muscle tension

  • improve flexibility

  • increase movement comfort

  • support recovery after activity or injury

  • improve circulation to the treated area

  • reduce stress and muscle guarding

Your therapist will explain what they're finding as they go, and tailor the pressure and techniques to suit your comfort.
