Our therapists are accredited with WorkSafe Victoria and to provide remedial massage treatments for work cover clients. So how do we set this all up?
To start with, we need to get a doctors referral before treatment or pre approval from your WokSafe Vic agent.
However in saying that, Work cover have what is best to think of as an excess for most employers. Your employer usually has to contribute to your expenses before work cover will kick in.
In these circumstances where the claim has not met over the dollar amount required, generally your employer will foot the bill, not WorkSafe Vic. Claims through Workcover can be confusing – after all most people have never done it before! We do this on a regular basis and are more than happy to have a chat to explain how things work in terms of treatment and billing.

I’m already receiving treatment from a physio/ chiro/ osteo can you still help?
Remedial massage is extremely beneficial when co treated with these other services. As a result, if you are already receiving these treatments, WorkSafe Vic can fund treatments for us to co treat with them!

It’s pretty close to evenly split, people who see us as their sole therapist or people who co-treat with a physiotherapists, osteopaths or chiropractors. We often find that in circumstances where people have had treatment with a physio, chiro or osteo and haven’t achieved positive change we can get results.
